Cathedral Ceremony and Great Diamond Island Celebration

This couple loves both the land and sea surrounding the city of Portland, Maine and they created a wedding day to reflect their shared history in the area. The bride prepared with her bridesmaids at the Eastland Park Hotel, now the Westin Portland Harborview, while the groom traversed Portland's East End with his cadre of groomsmen in navy suits. After a traditional Catholic ceremony at the brick cathedral, the couple and their guests walked down to the Old Port. They boarded the 85' Bay Mist and enjoyed a tour of Casco Bay's western waters, including a view of the Portland Head Lighthouse where the bride and her family share many memories. The hot July day culminated with a lobster dinner under the sailcloth tent at the Inn at Diamond Cove followed by dancing and a return ferry trip to the mainland illuminated by a nearly full moon.
